Spring Gate Capital Management is an MAS Capital Markets Services Licensee (Fund Management) and wholly owned by Spring Gate Capital Group. Spring Gate Capital Management is the manager of the Spring Gate Capital Global Alpha Fund (previously known as Spring Gate Capital China Fund).
Spring Gate Capital Global Alpha Fund
Spring Gate Capital China Fund was launched on January 1, 2020, for accredited investors. The equities long-biased hedge fund focused on investing in high-quality listed global and local companies driven by Greater China’s economic development, especially in key sectors such as Consumer, Platforms, Technology, Industrials, Healthcare, and Sustainability.
As of December 31, 2023, 48 months since inception, the Fund delivered an annualized return of +3.8%, while the annualized return of the MSCI China All Shares Index was -7.6% for the same period, i.e., the Fund delivered an annualized alpha of +11.4% over the 4 years.
Spring Gate Capital China Fund has been relaunched as Spring Gate Capital Global Alpha Fund since January 1, 2024. The Fund is our flagship evergreen equities long-biased hedge fund investing globally with a focus on Technology and Innovation. The Fund is currently housed under the Spring Gate Capital VCC in Singapore.
For the calendar year of 2024, Spring Gate Capital Global Alpha Fund generated a return of +25.6%, while the total return of the MSCI All-Country World Index (ACWI) was +18.0%. The Fund delivered an alpha of +7.6% in the first year of its relaunch as a global fund.
